Jammu, November 9: The Jammu and Kashmir Masters Games Association (JKMGA), in affiliation with the Super Masters Games and Sports Federation (India), organised a Tennis Cricket Championship at the MA Stadium, Jammu. The event brought together senior players to promote fitness, teamwork, and lifelong engagement in sports.
In the final match, Senior Star Cricket Club won the toss and chose to bat first, scoring 60 runs in 14.3 overs before being bowled out. Majestic Cricket Club successfully chased the target, reaching 63 for 4 in 12 overs to win the match by six wickets.
The closing ceremony was attended by Sh. J.P. Singh (IPS Retd.), former IGP, as Chief Guest, and Sh. Ashutosh Sharma, Chairman of the J&K Olympic Association, as Guest of Honour. Both guests appreciated the efforts of the organisers and praised the players for their dedication.
Ranjeet Singh Chib, President of JKMGA and veteran international handball player, along with General Secretary Neete Kour Khlasa, congratulated the winners and participants. They highlighted the importance of such events in encouraging fitness and unity among masters athletes.
The championship concluded with enthusiasm and a message that sports remain a lifelong source of health, friendship, and inspiration.
