Massive Fire Engulfs Kupwara Bus Stand in Jammu & Kashmir, Seven Buses Gutted
Blaze brought under control after hours, authorities begin probe into cause
Srinagar, Apr 9: A major fire incident at the main bus stand in Kupwara district left seven buses damaged, officials confirmed on Thursday. The blaze erupted late Wednesday night, triggering swift emergency response efforts.
According to officials, firefighting teams were immediately deployed to the site and worked for several hours to contain the flames. Their sustained efforts eventually brought the situation under control, preventing further damage.
While no casualties or injuries were reported, the fire caused significant losses to parked vehicles. Three buses were completely gutted, three others suffered partial damage, and one bus was affected due to intense heat and smoke.
Authorities have launched an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire.
