01-02-2023 : Rahul Gandhi, the leader of the Congress, claimed that the Union Budget 2023–24, which was presented to Parliament on Wednesday by Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, lacks vision and has no intention of addressing significant issues. Gandhi made an indirect allusion to his accusations that the current administration favours corporate entities when he remarked that the budget he had earlier in the day was for “Mitr” (friends).

Taking to Twitter, the former Congress president said: ‘Mitr Kaal’ Budget has: NO vision to create Jobs.NO plan to tackle Mehngai (inflation).NO intent to stem Inequality.
