Mobile Internet Download Speed Global Ranking of India Stands 12.07Mbps Against the Global Average of 35.26 Mbps

China is second on the index with an average mobile download speed of 113.35Mbps. Sri Lanka ranks way ahead of India at 102nd position. Pakistan and Nepal are ranked 116th and 117th positions, respectively

 

According to the Ookla Speedtest Global Index, India’s average mobile download speed is 12.07Mbps – much lower than the global average of 35.26Mbps. Out of 138 countries, India stands on the 131st spot on Ookla’s Speedtest Global Index for mobile internet. India’s average mobile upload speed is at 4.31Mbps, significantly lower than the global average of 11.22Mbps. South Korea topped the index, with an average mobile download speed of 121 Mbps. China is second on the index with an average mobile download speed of 113.35Mbps. Sri Lanka ranks way ahead of India in the 102nd position. Pakistan and Nepal are ranked 116th and 117th positions, respectively.

In the case of fixed-line broadband Internet speeds, India is positioned at 70th out of 175 nations, with an average download speed of 46.47Mbps. In this category, India ranks well above most of its neighbouring countries. China is at the 20th spot with 138.66Mbps. Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Pakistan are at 94th, 113th, and 159th spots respectively.
