Lauds establishment of Railway Division Headquarters in Jammu as a game-changer

JAMMU,19-11-2024: Kavinder Gupta, senior BJP leader, and former deputy chief minister, on Tuesday praised the central government led by PM Narendra Modi for its continuous focus on the development of the region, terming it to be a new era of growth and transformation.
Speaking during the meeting held here today, the BJP stalwart leader highlighted several monumental projects in the Jammu region, which are set to revolutionize the region’s economy, public edifice, and job prospects.
He said that the announcement regarding establishment of a Railway Division Headquarters in Jammu has once again proved that this region is close to the heart of PM Modi, as he had described the same on many occasions during public interactions. Kavinder described this as a ‘game-changer’ project that would provide unprecedented job opportunities and further enhance the region’s connectivity. “The decision to set up the Railway Division Headquarters in Jammu is a visionary step by the Modi government that will not only create thousands of jobs but will also serve as a central hub for future rail infrastructure developments. It will bring long-term economic benefits to Jammu besides helping to strengthen the country by further connecting the strategic places vital for the defence point of view”, he maintained while claiming that this Railway Division Headquarters will act as a catalyst for the region’s Kayakalp, as it will also boost tourism in the coming times, which is one of the mainstays of the economy in the region.  He said that there are several projects of national repute, which have come up in Jammu region after PM Modi took keen interest like AIIMS Jammu, IIT Jammu, Katra-Amrtisar-Delhi Expressway, Jambu Zoo, etc, which have rapidly elevated Jammu to the level of other major cities in India. “Today, Jammu region stands at par with the most developed cities in the country, with improved infrastructure, education, healthcare, and job opportunities,” he said, adding that there is no doubt in the fact that the Modi government has consistently prioritized the region’s progress and has laid the groundwork for a prosperous future.
