Modi’s Vision Positions India as Global AI Powerhouse, Says Gaurav

Jammu, 12 February 2026: BJP Spokesperson and Convener International Affairs, J&K UT, Gaurav Gupta today said that the India AI Impact Summit 2026 reflects India’s decisive emergence as a global technological superpower under the visionary leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, asserting that the summit has firmly positioned Bharat as the driving force behind the global Artificial Intelligence revolution.

Gupta said that the five-day summit, being organised from 16th to 20th February at Bharat Mandapam, New Delhi, is not merely a technological event but a strong declaration of India’s growing geopolitical and economic dominance in emerging technologies. He stated that hosting the world’s first major AI summit in the Global South demonstrates how India, under BJP-led governance, has transformed from a developing economy into a global policy and innovation leader.

Highlighting the massive international participation, Gupta said the presence of 15–20 Heads of Government, over 50 global ministers, and more than 40 CEOs of leading technology corporations clearly shows the international community’s confidence in Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership and India’s stable, progressive governance model. The participation of globally respected technology leaders including Sundar Pichai, Sam Altman, Jensen Huang, Demis Hassabis, Dario Amodei, Brad Smith, and Cristiano Amon, he said, reflects India’s credibility and trust as a global digital powerhouse.

Taking a sharp political tone, Gupta said that while previous governments merely spoke about technological growth, it is Prime Minister Modi who built the strong digital foundation that is now enabling India to lead the world in AI innovation. He said landmark initiatives such as Digital India, Startup India, Make in India, Skill India, and the National AI Mission have revolutionised India’s technology ecosystem and empowered millions of youth, startups, and entrepreneurs.

Gupta said, “India AI Impact Summit 2026 is a proud moment for every Indian and a clear testament to the transformative governance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi Ji. Today, India is not following global technology trends  India is creating them. The Modi Government has ensured that Artificial Intelligence is used as a tool for empowerment, economic growth, and social transformation rather than becoming an instrument of inequality.”

He further said that India’s technological rise is backed by strong fundamentals, including nearly 20 percent of global data generation, the world’s second-largest AI workforce, and more than 700 million internet users. Gupta stated that India’s revolutionary digital public infrastructure such as Aadhaar, UPI, and India Stack has become a global model, with several nations now adopting India’s digital governance frameworks.

Gupta strongly criticised previous regimes for neglecting technological advancement and failing to harness India’s intellectual and digital potential. He said that under BJP’s governance, India has witnessed unprecedented digital expansion, research growth, and global collaboration, making it a trusted voice in shaping ethical and responsible AI regulations worldwide.

He said that the summit’s focus on People, Planet, and Progress reflects Prime Minister Modi’s vision of inclusive technological development that balances economic growth with sustainability and human welfare. Gupta added that initiatives such as AI Commons, shared global compute infrastructure, trusted AI frameworks, and sectoral AI solutions will strengthen India’s leadership in building a fair and equitable global AI ecosystem.

Focusing on Jammu & Kashmir, Gupta said the summit presents transformative opportunities for the Union Territory. He stated that AI-driven solutions can revolutionise agriculture through precision farming, boost tourism through immersive digital experiences, strengthen healthcare through telemedicine, enhance governance transparency, and create massive employment opportunities for youth through startup and skill development initiatives.

Gupta asserted that Jammu & Kashmir is rapidly progressing under Prime Minister Modi’s leadership and the BJP government’s development agenda, adding that technological advancement and digital empowerment are key pillars in ensuring long-term peace, prosperity, and youth engagement in the region.
