Mohanlal Unveils First Poster, Announces Release Date for ‘Drishyam 3’

Mumbai, Feb 14 : Malayalam cinema icon Mohanlal has officially revealed the Drishyam 3 release date, confirming that the much awaited thriller will hit theatres worldwide on April 2. The announcement came via Instagram, where the actor unveiled the film’s first poster, immediately triggering excitement among fans.

The third instalment continues the legacy of the franchise that began in 2013 and went on to become one of Indian cinema’s most successful suspense sagas.

Poster Revives Signature Suspense

The newly released visual features Mohanlal standing inside a dense banana plantation, gazing intensely into the distance. While the setting appears calm, the mood carries an unmistakable undercurrent of tension  a hallmark of the series.

The tagline, “Past Never Stays Silent,” hints at unresolved events resurfacing and shaping the next chapter of Georgekutty’s journey. Within minutes of the reveal, social media was flooded with countdown posts and celebratory messages.

Georgekutty’s Story Continues

Mohanlal reprises his iconic role as Georgekutty, the character whose calculated decisions and protective instincts defined the earlier films. Directed once again by Jeethu Joseph, the upcoming chapter is expected to explore new layers of the narrative rather than follow a predictable thriller formula.

Interestingly, the Malayalam version will arrive months ahead of its Hindi adaptation starring Ajay Devgn, which is slated for release in October 2026.
