New Delhi , October 1: The interim bail of AIP Supremo and Member of Parliament from North Kashmir, Er Rashid, has been extended until October 12, 2024. Originally slated to surrender and return to Tihar Jail on October 3, Er Rashid has been granted additional time on bail following the court’s decision.
The extension was confirmed by AIP Chief Spokesperson, Inam Un Nabi, who stated that the party had filed a request for the extension in Delhi’s Patiala House Court. The request was successfully granted, offering Er Rashid more time outside of custody.
Inam expressed gratitude to the judiciary for its decision and acknowledged the efforts of the party’s legal counsel, Advocate Vikhyat Oberoi, whose dedicated representation played a crucial role in securing the extension.
The extended interim bail allows Er Rashid to continue his work serving the people of Jammu and Kashmir, particularly his constituents in the Baramulla region, while legal proceedings remain ongoing. The party views this as a positive development, enabling their leader to remain actively engaged with the community during this period.
