Ms. Monika Kumari Awarded Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering from SMVDU

Jammu, 28-08-2024: Ms. Monika Kumari, daughter of Mr. Maggar Singh and Mrs. Raj Kumari, has successfully qualified for the award of the Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu. Her research focused on the topic “Hybrid Approach to Remote Sensing Scene Classification,” under the guidance of Dr. Ajay Kaul, Associate Professor in the School of Computer Science and Engineering at SMVDU.

Throughout her doctoral studies, Ms. Kumari made significant contributions to the field, publishing several research papers in SCI/SCIE-indexed journals and presenting her work at prestigious international conferences. She expressed deep gratitude to her parents and supervisor for their unwavering support and guidance. She also acknowledged the School of Computer Science and Engineering at SMVDU for providing essential resources and facilities that were instrumental in the successful completion of her research.
