Ms. Prerna Katoch secures Ph.D. from SMVDU, exploring digitalization’s impact on women entrepreneurs

SMVDU confers Ph.D. to Ms. Prerna Katoch for her pioneering work on women-led businesses in J&K

Jammu, 31-08-2024: Ms. Prerna Katoch, daughter of Mr. Suraj Singh Katoch and Mrs. Sangeeta Katoch, has been conferred with the prestigious Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) degree by the School of Business at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University (SMVDU), Katra, Jammu & Kashmir. Her doctoral research focused on the topic, “The Relationship of Entrepreneurial Orientation, Digitalization, and Firm’s Performance: A Study of Women Entrepreneurs of J&K.” This significant work was conducted under the expert guidance of Dr. Syeda Shazia Bukhari, Assistant Professor at the School of Business, SMVDU.

Ms. Katoch’s academic journey is marked by her achievement of qualifying for the UGC-NET in Commerce. Throughout her research, she has contributed to the academic community by publishing her findings in several reputed, high-impact journals, including those indexed in ABDC, SCI, SCIE, and Scopus. Additionally, she has actively participated in international conferences, where she presented her work to a global audience.

Expressing her gratitude, Ms. Katoch thanked Shri Mata Vaishno Devi University for providing the essential support and resources that facilitated her research endeavors. The university community, including Prof. (Dr.) Pragati Kumar, Vice-Chancellor of SMVDU, Dr. Ashutosh Vashishtha, Dean of the Faculty of Management, Dr. Syeda Shazia Bukhari, her research supervisor, and other committee members, extended their heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Katoch and wished her continued success in her future endeavors.
