Patnitop/Jammu, Nov 28: The National Art Workshop “Rang-E-Khiza”, organised by MSCBMC Trust in collaboration with Petronet LNG Ltd (PLL), Ministry of Petroleum, Government of India, entered its second day today at Government Girls Middle School, Dogra, Zone Chenani.
The campus buzzed with enthusiasm as students joyfully participated in painting, sketching activities, and live art observation, their smiling faces reflecting excitement while working alongside national-level artists. Sweaters, warm clothes, utensils, eatables, and refreshments were also distributed, adding warmth and joy to the creative atmosphere.
Ten renowned artists from across India—Sharmila Sharma (Delhi), Rakhi Kumar (Delhi), Manish K. Rao (Delhi), Jiwan Biswas (Kolkata), Sanghpal Mhaske (Maharashtra), Aditya Shankar Prasad (Delhi), Rahul Mhetre (Mumbai), Taslim Sona (Rajasthan), Apurba Karati (West Bengal), and Rakhee Kumari (Patna)—interacted with students and continued their live creative sessions.
MSCBMC Trust President Anuradha Rishi, daughter of legendary artist Master Sansar Chand Baru, expressed gratitude to all participating artists and thanked the administration for extending support. “Art is a universal language that unites people beyond boundaries,” she said.
“Rang-e-Khiza is not just about painting—it is about imagination, exploration, and courage. Whatever field a child chooses, creativity gives them confidence. For an artist, the earth is one, love is selfless, and nothing is impossible.” She also expressed concern over the deteriorating condition of the school building and urged NGOs and social groups to step forward for infrastructure support.
School Incharge Jagdev Singh thanked MSCBMC Trust, the artists, and the organisers for bringing national-level art exposure to rural students and said such initiatives ignite creativity and broaden learning.
The workshop will continue until December 3, featuring live demonstrations, interactive learning, and art sessions aimed at promoting cultural harmony and artistic inspiration among the youth.
