Mubarak Gul tours Eidgah areas, reviews development Projects

Srinagar, 22 Apr: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference senior leader and MLA Eidgah Mubarak Gul Wednesday undertook a full-day constituency tour of Eidgah, emphasizing Omar government’s commitment to improving urban infrastructure and public amenities.

Speaking on the occasion Gul said, “Governance is not about rhetoric; it is about visible results. Our goal is to ensure that the people of Eidgah experience real improvements in their daily lives, from infrastructure to sanitation and public amenities.”

The tour began at Eidgah Park, where Gul met with officials to discuss constituency issues and reviewed ongoing work at Gardens Park, the Floriculture Department and Tourism projects. At Eidgah Ground, he examined progress on sports facilities and the DPR of ₹50 lakh, previously addressed in the JK Assembly, before inspecting Eidgah Gate alongside R&B Core, Tourism, and JKPCC officials.

The tour moved through Sekidafar Chowk, Noorbaugh Chowk, and Cement Bridge, with on-site inspections of road macadam work and drainage improvements in Gassi Mohalla. Gul visited Gassi Mohalla School, Posha Masjid Halt, and Gassi Mohalla Marriage Hall, reviewing sanitation projects, lane drains and civic infrastructure. At Malik Sahab Safakadal, he assessed park maintenance, waste management, and flood irrigation compliance.

He later visited Safakadal Chowk, Nawakadal Chowk and Khaiwan inspecting housing projects, marriage hall land identifications, culvert repairs and waterbody management. The day concluded at Aali Masjid, where he reviewed facilities and inspected water bodies alongside LCMA officials.

On public participation in development, Gul emphasized, “We believe development works best when the public is part of the process. By engaging with residents and understanding their concerns firsthand, we can ensure that every project truly meets the community’s needs.”

Praising the Omar Govt’s government’s urban initiatives, he added, “The Omar-led government has shown unwavering commitment to urban development and public welfare. From modernizing infrastructure to improving sanitation and public amenities, their initiatives are transforming the way citizens experience city life. This is governance that delivers tangible results, not just promises.”
