Narendra Modi Reviews Renewable Energy Push as India Crosses Major Green Milestone

New Delhi, May 06 : The Union government intensified its push toward sustainable development this week as Prime Minister Narendra Modi reviewed India’s progress in renewable energy generation and green infrastructure projects. Officials highlighted rapid growth in solar and wind installations across several states, with new investments expected to strengthen India’s energy independence.

Government sources said the focus remains on expanding domestic manufacturing of clean energy equipment and accelerating rural electrification through green technologies. Experts believe the development could help India reduce dependence on imported fossil fuels while supporting climate commitments.

The Centre is also expected to unveil additional incentives for private companies investing in battery storage and hydrogen-based energy systems later this year.
