“Nation Above All”: Amit Shah Marks BJP Foundation Day with Core Message
Party leaders highlight ideology, legacy, and commitment to national service as BJP marks its foundation day
New Delhi, Apr 06 : Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Monday extended greetings on the foundation day of the Bharatiya Janata Party, reiterating the party’s guiding principle of placing the nation above all else.
In a message shared on X, Shah underlined the party’s commitment to strengthening national security, accelerating development, and preserving India’s cultural legacy. He stated that the BJP has consistently translated its ideals into action, whether through safeguarding borders, enhancing internal stability, or reviving the country’s civilisational ethos. According to him, the party’s core philosophy “Nation First, Party Next, Self Last” continues to drive its cadre’s dedication to public service.
He also paid tribute to Sage Dadhichi, symbolising selfless sacrifice for a larger cause. Shah noted that such ideals have shaped the BJP’s evolution into a strong and expansive political force rooted in national interest.
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath described the BJP as more than a political entity, calling it a living ideological movement inspired by the teachings of Deendayal Upadhyay, Syama Prasad Mookerjee, and Atal Bihari Vajpayee. He emphasised that the party embodies democratic values and cultural traditions while striving to meet the aspirations of millions.
Reflecting on its journey, Adityanath said the BJP’s growth is anchored in ideology rather than power, highlighting its focus on inclusive development and national progress. He credited party workers’ dedication for advancing visions such as a self-reliant and developed India.
The BJP traces its origins to the Bharatiya Jana Sangh, established in 1951 under the leadership of Mookerjee. Over the decades, it expanded its influence under leaders like Vajpayee and Lal Krishna Advani, eventually emerging as a central force in the country’s political landscape.
