JKPYC pays rich tributes to Warriors during Shardhanjali Sabha

JAMMU, DEC 10: Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Youth Congress paid rich tributes to the nation’s brave hearts CDS General Bipin Rawat, his wife Mrs Madhulika Rawat, Brigadier L.S. Lidder, Lieutenant Colonel H. Singh, Wing Commander P.S. Chauhan, Squadron Leader K. Singh, Junior Warrant Officer (JWO) Das, JWO Pradeep, Havildar Satpal, Naik Gursewak Singh, Naik Jitender, Lance Naik Vivek and Lance Naik S. Teja who lost their lives in a tragic helicopter crash on Wednesday.
The tributes paying programme (Shradhanjali Sabha) was organized in this regard by Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar & Brinder Pratap Singh (General Secretary JKPYC) at Gen Zorawar Singh Chowk in which senior Congress leaders including Ex-minister RS Chib, Thakur Jai Singh and Gourav Chopra Corporator besides Ranjit Chopra, Anirudh Raina, Kanav Sharma, Kirtan Singh, Prabha Salathia, Ashwani hands, Ashutosh Raina and Vishal Chopra participated and paid rich tributes to the deceased brave hearts.
While paying homage, R.S. Chib highlighted the herculean contributions of CDS General Rawat in strengthening and modernizing the nation’s defence system. He said that General Rawat’s outstanding service to the nation will be remembered in all times to come as he was India’s first CDS and initiated far-reaching reforms in the Indian military’s higher defence organization.

Nimrandeep Singh Bhullar & Brinder Pratap Singh (General Secretary JKPYC) while praying rich tributes said that General Rawat was instrumental in creating the foundation of India’s joint theatre commands and gave impetus to the increased indigenization of military equipment.

Thakur Jai Singh hoped that this legacy which will be carried on further and strengthened by his successors in the defence services.

The Congress and JKPYC leaders while expressing sympathies with the bereaved families, prayed to God for bestowing patience and courage to the bereaved family members of the brave hearts to bear the irreparable loss. Two minutes of silence was also observed on the occasion in memory of the departed souls.
