Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board Ensures Grand Arrangements for Devotees During Nine-Day Festival
Jammu, Sep 22: The nine-day Navratras commenced today with devotion and grandeur at Shri Mata Vaishno Devi, as pilgrims began flocking to the holy Katra town in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir. The pilgrimage, which resumed on September 18, has seen a steady rise in visitors from across India coming to offer prayers at the sacred cave shrine nestled in the Trikuta Hills.
The Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board has put in place extensive arrangements to facilitate devotees during the auspicious Shardiya Navratras. The Bhawan, Atka, and surrounding areas have been beautifully decorated, featuring a blend of indigenous and exotic fruits, flowers, majestic entrance doors, and artistically designed tracks. Colorful façade lighting has created a mesmerizing spiritual ambiance for the pilgrims.
Officials confirmed that all routes leading to the cave shrine are fully maintained to ensure smooth movement of visitors. Since the yatra resumed from the Katra base camp on September 18 morning, nearly 10,000 pilgrims have paid obeisance, with daily footfall reaching around 2,000. The pilgrimage was briefly suspended due to inclement weather but resumed the following day without disruption.
The Shrine Board’s meticulous preparations ensure that devotees can participate in the Navratras with ease and devotion, enhancing the spiritual experience at one of India’s most revered shrines.
