SRINAGAR, Oct 23: Legislators from the National Conference (NC) and the Congress on Thursday staged a silent protest inside the Jammu and Kashmir Legislative Assembly, demanding the release of AAP MLA Mehraj Malik.

The protest took place ahead of the day’s proceedings, with opposition members holding placards reading “Respect the Vote, Respect the Voice, Free Mehraj Malik.” The MLAs observed a brief sit-in to draw the government’s attention to the issue.
