NC Legislators Protest Outside J&K Assembly, Demand Restoration of Statehood
Lawmakers raise slogans against alleged harassment of Kashmiris in other states and Union Territories
JAMMU, Feb 3: The National Conference (NC) staged a protest outside the Jammu & Kashmir Assembly on Tuesday, calling for the restoration of statehood and an end to the reported harassment of Kashmiris in other states and Union Territories.
Carrying placards with slogans such as “Restore Statehood,” NC MLAs pressed the government to address their demands.
PDP MLA Muntazir Mehdi also participated in the protest, holding a placard. “I am supporting the cause but not the National Conference,” Mehdi clarified.
