Nepali Domestic Worker Found Dead in Srinagar, Police Probe Underway
Police initiate medico-legal procedures, probe underway to ascertain cause of death
Srinagar, Dec 10: A 25 year old Nepali national employed as a domestic worker was found dead under suspicious circumstances in Srinagar’s Sanat Nagar area on Wednesday, officials said.
According to official sources, a police team from Police Station Saddar rushed the man to SMHS Hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead.
The deceased has been identified as Rajan Singh (25), son of Nerooj Singh, a resident of Dagri Boriya in Nepal. He was working as a domestic help at the residence of Gulzar Ahmad Sheikh, son of Habibullah Sheikh, a resident of Housing Colony, Sanat Nagar.
Police have taken cognisance of the incident and initiated medico-legal formalities. An investigation has been launched to determine the exact cause and circumstances of the death.
