“No Tobacco day” Awareness program organized at Group Centre, CRPF Jammu, Bantalab, Jammu
Promoting Oral Health and Cancer Prevention: CRPF's Initiative on "No Tobacco Day"
20-05-2023: On the occasion of “No Tobacco Day” an awareness program and dental checkup camp has been organized by Composite Hospital, CRPF, Jammu in association with a team of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu. The team headed by Dr. Iqbal Singh, HOD of Public Health Dentistry, Indira Gandhi Government Dental College Jammu has conducted a tobacco cessation awareness program and dental check-up camp for personnel and their families at Group Centre, CRPF, Bantalab, Jammu. Besides this lecture on “No Tobacco” and “Quit Smoking” was also delivered by team of Indira Gandhi Government Dental College, Jammu.
In the dental check camp, approximately 185 CRPF personnel of various offices of CRPF campus Bantalab were screened for oral hygiene and cancer screening. On this occasion Dr. Biram Singh, IG (Medical) of CH, CRPF, Jammu, Shri N.K. Yadav, DIGP, GC Jammu along with Dr. Heera Raja, CMO (SG) CH Jammu, Dr. Ranita A. Chanu, CDS, and Shri P.C. Gupta, Comdt, GC Jammu were present. In this program oral cancer prevention and oral hygiene were promoted among force personnel and their family.
