Northern Army Commander Assesses Security Framework in Kashmir
Lt Gen Pratik Sharma assesses operational readiness, intelligence grid and logistics resilience in Valley
Srinagar, Feb 14: The Northern Army Commander, Lt Gen Pratik Sharma, on Friday conducted a comprehensive review of the security framework and operational readiness of forces deployed across North and South Kashmir, the Army said.
According to the Northern Command, the visit focused on assessing the integrated intelligence grid, updated operational protocols and strengthened joint response mechanisms aimed at maintaining stability in the region’s complex security environment.
Lt Gen Sharma also inspected a key logistics echelon in the Valley, evaluating its preparedness to sustain operations. He emphasised that a secure and resilient supply chain remains critical to ensuring decisive combat capability.
The commander commended the troops for their professionalism, determination and commitment to operational excellence. He also appreciated the unit’s technically robust establishment, noting its readiness to meet the evolving demands of future warfare.
