Odisha Government Announces 3% DA Hike for Employees and Pensioners
Dearness Allowance and Relief Increased to 58%, Benefiting Over 8.5 Lakh People
Odisha, Oct 16 : Ahead of the Diwali festival, the Odisha government on Thursday approved a 3 per cent hike in the Dearness Allowance (DA) and Dearness Relief (DR) for state government employees and pensioners. The decision, sanctioned by Chief Minister Mohan Majhi, will be effective retroactively from July 1, 2025.
With the new increase, the DA and DR for employees and pensioners have risen from 55 per cent to 58 per cent. The move will benefit over 8.5 lakh government employees and pensioners across the state, providing a timely boost ahead of the festive season.
