Odisha Govt denying benefits of central schemes to people: Kavinder

Kavinder joins Rath Yatra of Lord Jaganathji in Odhisha

BHUBANESWAR (Odhisa), JUNE 20: Senior BJP leader from J&K and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday accused the Naveen Patnaik-led Biju Janata Dal Government of Odisha of not allowing the implementation of Central welfare programmes.

He was addressing a public meeting here at Bangriposi Assembly Constituency as a part of Maha Jan Sampark Abhiyan in connection with 9 years of Modi Govt at the Centre.

Kavinder said that the Narendra Modi Government has come out with Ayushman Bharat Yojana, which would benefit crores of people in the country but the Naveen Patnaik Government has denied the benefits of the scheme by not implementing the same in the State. “The State government makes different excuses to deny the scheme to its people,” he said, adding that Odisha Government has no valid reason to keep people devoid of this benevolent scheme by Centre which offers free medical benefits upto Rs 5 lakh.

Kavinder was the Chief Guest at the meeting. He also highlighted the number of bountiful schemes which the Modi Government had envisaged for the public welfare but Odisha is still awaiting the same because the State has remained reluctant in bringing the same to Odisha. He said that people of Odisha should consider the things objectively as they are at loss due to unreasonable decisions made by their chief minister.

Bishnu Das, State Executive Member, Kandra Soren, Ex MLA, District President, Sugda Murmu State Executive Member, Dolgobinda Behera, Bijay Das, Fagu Hansda and Salmit Soren were also accompanied the former deputy Chief Minister of J&K.

In Bangriposi, Kavinder also met people who demanded the safeguard of Similipal Biosphere, which is likely to be declared as Similipal National Park in the District of Mayurbhanj.

Later, Kavinder Gupta along with others visited Rairangpur– the Home town of President of India Draupadi Murmu for observation of the Car Festival/Rath Yatra of Lord Jaganathji. He prayed to Lord Jaganathji for the peace and prosperity of people of the country in general and Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory in particular.
