Chairs Harwan Block Meet at Nawa-e-Subha
Srinagar, 16 Jan: The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Party General Secretary and MLA Khanyar, Haji Ali Muhammad Sagar Thursday presided over a meeting of block office bearers of Harwan Block.
The meeting was also attended by Vice President Kashmir Province and MLA Hazratbal Salman Ali Sagar, along with Block President Bashir Ahmad Mir, other senior office bearers, Halqa Presidents and representatives of the Youth and Women’s Wings. The meeting witnessed enthusiastic participation and was well attended.
The deliberations focused on local exigencies, organisational strengthening, and governance-related issues, with detailed discussions on improving grassroots outreach and addressing people’s day-to-day concerns in a more effective and coordinated manner.
Extending greetings on the auspicious occasion of Mehraj-ul-Alam, the duo prayed for peace, brotherhood, and prosperity across Jammu and Kashmir.
Speaking on the occasion, Sagar underscored the transformative work carried out by the National Conference in Srinagar, stating, “The National Conference has decisively brought Srinagar back on the development radar. Despite challenges, our sustained efforts have ensured that governance remains people-centric, responsive, and focused on inclusive growth.”
Highlighting the pro-poor agenda of the party, Sagar added, “Under the leadership of Omar Abdullah, the NC-led government has consistently prioritized the welfare of the common man. Initiatives such as free bus services, enhanced ration entitlements, and other relief-oriented measures reflect our unwavering commitment to easing the economic burden on the poor and marginalized sections of society.”
Salman Ali Sagar, while addressing the gathering, stressed the importance of organisational unity and active engagement at the grassroots level to effectively articulate public issues and ensure their timely redressal.
