Operation Sindoor: Government Calls All-Party Meeting on Thursday to Brief Leadership on Precision Strikes Across LoC
New Delhi, May 7: In the wake of the precision military operation launched by Indian armed forces targeting terror infrastructure in Pakistan and Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (PoK), the Government of India has convened an all-party meeting on Thursday, May 8, to brief the national leadership on the developments.
The meeting, scheduled for 11:00 AM in Committee Room G-074 of the Parliament Library Building, Parliament Complex, New Delhi, will bring together leaders from all major political parties to ensure transparency and national unity in the face of cross-border threats. The update was shared by Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs Kiren Rijiju, who announced the meeting in a post on social media platform X.
“The government has called an All Party Leaders Meeting at 11 am on 8th May, 2025 at Committee Room: G-074, Parliament Library Building, Parliament Complex, New Delhi,” Rijiju posted.
The decision to hold the meeting comes a day after the Indian armed forces executed ‘Operation Sindoor’, a measured and strategic military strike aimed at dismantling terrorist camps operated by groups like Jaish-e-Mohammad and Lashkar-e-Taiba in areas across the LoC, including Bahawalpur and Muridke. The strike was launched in retaliation to the April 22 terror attack in Pahalgam, which claimed the lives of 26 civilians.
