Pak Drone Spotted Near International Border in J&K’s Samba

Drone from across the IB spotted over Regal village, security forces conduct search to rule out payload drop.

JAMMU, Nov 22: A Pakistani drone was sighted hovering over a forward village along the International Border in Jammu and Kashmir’s Samba district, officials said on Saturday.

According to officials, the drone was seen late Friday night approaching from the Chak Bhura post in Pakistan and flying over Regal village in the Ghagwal area. It remained in the airspace for a few minutes before returning to the other side of the border.

Following the sighting, security forces launched a thorough search operation in the area to ensure that no payload such as weapons or narcotics had been airdropped. Officials said no suspicious material has been found so far.

The incident has heightened vigilance along the International Border in Samba, which has witnessed multiple drone-related activities in recent months.
