Pakistan Withdraws From Junior Hockey World Cup in India Following Asia Cup Exit
International Hockey Federation confirms Pakistan’s exit; replacement team to be announced soon
Pakistan, Oct 24 : Pakistan has officially pulled out of the FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup 2025, scheduled to be held in Tamil Nadu, India, starting in November. The International Hockey Federation (FIH) confirmed the development to the Press Trust of India (PTI).
In a statement, the FIH said, “We can confirm that the Pakistan Hockey Federation has notified the International Hockey Federation that its team, initially qualified for the upcoming FIH Hockey Men’s Junior World Cup Tamil Nadu 2025, will not participate.”
The governing body added that a replacement team for Pakistan will be announced shortly, ensuring that the tournament proceeds with a full roster of competing nations.
