New Delhi, 19-12-2023 : The suspension saga continues in the Lok Sabha, with an additional 49 Members of Parliament facing suspension on Tuesday, following the suspension of 78 opposition members from Parliament a day earlier. Among those suspended on Tuesday are prominent figures such as National Conference’s Farooq Abdullah, as well as Congress leaders Shashi Tharoor and Manish Tewari.
The ongoing turmoil stems from INDIA bloc MPs’ insistence on obtaining a statement from Home Minister Amit Shah regarding the security breach in Parliament on December 13.
