PCC Chief cautions people against evil designs of BJP

Jammu, October 29:- Dubbing BJP-led government at the Centre and BJP-controlled Administration in the Union Territory (UT) as anti-people, Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress Committee (JKPCC) Chief Vikar Rasool Wani on Saturday regretted that instead of solving basic problems of the people the Saffron Brigade has been shamelessly pursuing politics of hatred and divisive.“It is high time to educate people about the evil designs of the BJP to save the future of our younger generation,” Wani said while addressing a one-day convention organized by J&K Mahila Congress in connection with the “Sankalp Bharat Jodo” campaign at Jammu.
Thousands of Mahila Congress workers attended this convention.“Situation in the country in general and J&K, in particular, is turning bad to worse due to the divisive and anti-people policies of the present dispensation”, the JKPCC chief said and mentioned some recent surveys conducted by independent agencies about the employment rate in J&K.“The biggest achievement of BJP is that the J&K is now on the top of the states and UTs have the highest percentage of educated unemployed youth”, he said, adding “unemployment rate in J&K is highest in the country and this is the achievement of BJP-controlled administration”.
Expressing her anguish over the unprecedented hike in the prices of essential commodities, Wani exhorted party activists to expose the anti-poor policies of the BJP-led government at the Centre.
Speaking on the occasion, J&K Mahila Congress president and former MLA Ms. Indu Pawar lashed out at the Narendra Modi-led government over the rising prices of essential commodities as well as unemployment, saying this has created a state of “financial emergency”.She expressed surprise that instead of protecting the interests of the weaker section, the BJP-led regime is only serving the interests of the corporate world.She pointed out that the back-breaking inflation, life-threatening unemployment, and falling GDP has created a state of financial emergency.
The Mahila Congress president especially mentioned towards rise in prices of vegetables, pulses, edible oil, LPG gas, and other food items has snatched away the poor’s bread and butter. “Modi government has broken the domestic budgets of countrymen into pieces”, she observed.
Emphasizing on “Sankalap Bharat Jodo”, she said this campaign has been launched in connection with on-going “Bharat Jodo Yatra” of party leader Rahul Gandhii Ji.Indu Pawar said that the overwhelming response of every section of society to the ongoing “Bharat Jodo Yatra” of Rahul Gandhi Ji is a clear indication that people are looking towards Congress to get them rid of the problem of unemployment and unprecedented price rise.
“The way people are joining the ongoing Yatra of Rahul Gandhi Ji is the endorsement of Congress’s policies and programmes” Ms. Pawar said and peoples’ overwhelming response to the Yatra is a befitting reply to the malicious and vicious campaign launched by the BJP.She
said that through the ongoing Bharat Jodo Yatra Rahul Gandhi Ji is interacting and connecting with ordinary citizens.
Speaking on the occasion, J&K Congress working president Raman Bhalla said that every section of the society is bearing brunt of the anti-people policies being pursued by the BJP government at the Centre.He said that unemployment is growing like never before and the backbone of the common people is broken due to inflation and skyrocketing rise in the prices of essential commodities.He accused Prime Minister Narendra Modi of indulging in politics of hatred and division, and said he should focus on the country’s development instead.
Bhalla further said that Congress is committed to ensure social, educational, economical, and political empowerment of J&K women.We are committed to ensuring equal rights and the same opportunities for every citizen of the Union Territory (UT) of Jammu and Kashmir,” he said. We believe that every soul on this land should get equal opportunities irrespective of his or her religious belief, geographical identity, and even political ideology. Opportunities should reach everyone in J&K,” Bhalla added.
Bhalla further said that since the women folk on our part of the land have always been deprived of their rights and the opportunities, it is our duty to ensure all rights to the women citizens of J&K are given to them. “In the contemporary world, no human society can progress until it gives due rights to its womenfolk. Our women have been deprived of their social and economical security and even a dignified life. This is the key reason that many people in our part of the world feel sad when they give birth to a daughter, or when they are about to see off their daughters at the time of their marriage. The parents know that since women do not have any social and economic security in our society, thus they are always vulnerable to social injustice. But, we have to change the scenario for the better now. I promise you that we will ensure this change in favor of our daughters and sisters,” he said.
