People Want Change Since BJP-Led Government Has Made Things Difficult for Them: J&K Cong Chief

Congress Expects to Emerge as Dominant Political Force in Jammu and Kashmir's Changing Landscape

Jammu, 14-10-2023 : Vikar Rasool Wani, the Jammu and Kashmir Congress chief, made a significant statement on Saturday, underscoring the widespread desire for a change among the people in the Union Territory and throughout the country. According to Wani, this desire for change has been fueled by the difficulties imposed on the public by the BJP-led government at the central level.

Speaking at a function where several local politicians joined the Congress, Wani announced plans to invite senior party leaders, including party president Mallikarjun Kharge, Rahul Gandhi, and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, to participate in various programs in Jammu and Kashmir.

Wani also acknowledged the recent victory of the Congress-National Conference (NC) alliance in the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Council (LAHDC) polls. He expressed the view that this success was a precursor to the outcome of the upcoming Assembly polls in Jammu and Kashmir, boldly asserting that the BJP and its allies would face a resounding defeat.

He stressed that the people’s anger towards the BJP would be clearly manifested when the Assembly polls take place. He expressed confidence that the Congress would emerge as the single-largest party in Jammu and Kashmir, signaling a significant shift in political dynamics in the Union Territory.

Wani’s remarks reflect the growing sentiment of change and a shifting political landscape in Jammu and Kashmir, where the electorate seeks alternatives to address the challenges and issues faced by the region. It also highlights the Congress party’s determination to play a significant role in shaping the future of the Union Territory’s political landscape.
