Jammu, April 16- AICC Leader & Congress Star Campaigner Sachin Pilot today hit out at BJP for politics of vendetta and hatred and said that BJP had two MPs during Rajiv Gandhi’s time but Congress never raised the slogan of BJP Mukt Bharat.
Addressing a large public meeting at Khour near Suchetgarh today, in favour of INC Candidate Raman Bhalla, Shri Pilot said that BJP has destroyed the democratic culture of the country by its mission to target only opposition leaders. While it has collected huge amounts through illegal electoral bond schemes. , the accounts so of Congress were seized on the eve of elections on filmy grounds and citing old cases of there decades old.
The opposition leaders and elected chief minister were arrested in the midst of elections, questioning BJP’s style of government and vendetta politics of the worst kind.
He said Manipur is burning but modi government is not bothered, there are no elections in J&k for years & people deprived of democracy and now Supreme Court had issued directions for it.
The Pilot said it was Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party that reached to the suffering people everywhere by walking on foot thousands of kilometers and raising their voice.
Congress has come out with Nyay Pattar for youth, women, farmers, workers, and each section. Congress has brought about several revolutions like the Right to Work ( MGNREGA), Right to Food, Right to Education, Right to Information etc but BJP has snatched Pepper’s rights.
He referred to the contribution of the Congress party and its leaders during difficult times of peak of militancy in J&K when BJP leaders were no where & it was Congress leaders risking their lives to defeat terrorism in a oblique reference to his father Rajesh Pilot who dealt Jammu & Kashmir as Internal security minister in PV Narasimha Rao government at the center.
Hitting BJP’s politics of hatred, he referred to mix gatherings of all religions and castes to draw the difference between BJP and Congress which truly believes in inclusiveness & unity in diversity. He praised the leadership of Raman Bhalla who he said is known to him for several years personally and described him as people’s man and appealed for vote for him and send him to Lok Sabha.
Pilot who had come after addressing a massive rally at Kathua said that the situation in the Udhampur constituency is already one-sided & claimed that the INDIA alliance will win all six seats in J-K & Ladakh.
He was accompanied by PCC president Vikar Rasool Wani, AICC Secretary Manoj Yadav apart from Mr Raman Bhalla, and several senior leaders – functionaries of Jk Congress.
Vikar Rasool Wani in his address lashed out at the BJP for destroying the future of youth, downgrading our state and snatched our rights. He said that unemployment is at its peak and prices rise touching the sky making poor man’s life miserable.
He said that people are being fleeced in the name of taxes and jobs& trade are being snatched from locals. He termed it as worst kind of anti-people and anti-youth government that needs to be thrown out.
Raman Bhalla said that the people of J&K are the worst sufferers of the Modi government’s policies as our rights are snatched and lands and jobs are not secure while our status is downgraded.
People of J&K are facing the worst kind of situation since 2014& youths are frustrated. He said that farmers, youth, traders, daily wagers, Anganwadi, and Asha workers all are passing through a difficult phase.
The people are left at the mercy of bureaucrats who are not accountable to people, the old age, widows are deprived of pensions, refugees of POJK are deprived of their rights and inflation is at its peak making people suffer.
He thanked people for their full support and said that a feeling of change is blowing in J &K and appealed to the people to reject BJP.
