PM Modi Advises Students to Harness Technology for Skill Development at Pariksha Pe Charcha

Prime Minister encourages students to harness AI, prioritise preparation and sleep, and develop communication skills for effective leadership.

New Delhi, Feb 9: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Monday advised students to use technology as a tool for growth rather than allowing it to dominate their lives, stressing the importance of self-discipline in the digital age.

Speaking during the second episode of Pariksha Pe Charcha 2026, the Prime Minister observed that excessive screen dependence has become a concern, with some children unable to eat without a mobile phone or television. He urged students to make a conscious decision to stay in control of technology instead of becoming reliant on it.

Modi also encouraged young learners to embrace emerging innovations such as Artificial Intelligence, noting that such tools can significantly enhance learning and skill development when used wisely.

Highlighting effective exam strategies, he recommended consistent practice with previous years’ question papers and emphasised the value of adequate rest. According to him, thorough preparation combined with a good night’s sleep helps reduce anxiety and keeps students energised on exam day.

Reflecting on his own academic journey, the Prime Minister credited teachers and parents for shaping an individual’s character and habits, adding that guidance from mentors plays a lasting role in personal development.

Addressing the idea of leadership, Modi said it extends beyond electoral politics and begins with the ability to clearly express ideas. He underscored that communicating thoughts confidently to others is a fundamental leadership trait students should cultivate early in life.
