PM Modi Advocates Self Reliance and Inclusive Growth at UP International Trade Show

PM Modi stresses Atmanirbhar Bharat, inclusive development at UP International Trade Show 2025

Greater Noida, Sep 25: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday inaugurated the Uttar Pradesh International Trade Show 2025, emphasizing India’s push towards self reliance and inclusive growth. Highlighting the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat vision, PM Modi urged domestic production of all goods that can be made in India.

“India must become self-reliant. Every product that can be made in India should be made in India,” he stated, underlining the need for a robust indigenous manufacturing ecosystem. Citing progress in the defence sector, he mentioned the upcoming production of AK-203 rifles in collaboration with Russia and the establishment of a dedicated defence corridor in Uttar Pradesh.

The Prime Minister stressed that countries dependent on others compromise their growth, adding that India continues to offer “attractive opportunities” even amidst global uncertainty. Structural reforms like GST and inclusive digital platforms such as UPI, Aadhaar, DigiLocker, and ONDC have contributed to this growth, he noted.

Praising Uttar Pradesh’s manufacturing achievements, Modi said the state produces 55% of all mobile phones made in India and will play a key role in strengthening the country’s semiconductor sector. He also commemorated Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya on his birth anniversary, highlighting his message of Antyodaya ensuring development reaches the last person in society.

The trade show serves as a platform to showcase the state’s industries, MSMEs, and emerging sectors, reflecting Uttar Pradesh’s potential as a hub for trade, investment, and inclusive growth.
