PM Modi Lists ‘Five Ks of Jungle Raj’ in Scathing Attack on RJD–Congress Alliance Ahead of Bihar Polls
At Muzaffarpur rally, PM Modi accuses RJD and Congress of misrule, corruption, and insulting Bihar’s cultural pride, vows to get Chhath Puja global recognition.
Muzaffarpur, Oct 30: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday launched a scathing attack on the Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) and Congress, saying the two parties represent the “five Ks” of Bihar’s infamous jungle raj katta (country made guns), kroorta (cruelty), katuta (resentment), kushasan (misgovernance), and corruption.
Addressing a massive rally in Muzaffarpur ahead of the Bihar Assembly elections, PM Modi said that while the NDA is working to uphold Bihar’s cultural and spiritual identity, the opposition is busy mocking the faith of the people.
“It is my first visit to Bihar after Chhath Puja, which is now celebrated worldwide,” Modi said. “Chhath stands for devotion and equality. My government is working to get it recognised as a UNESCO heritage festival. But Congress and RJD leaders have called it a ‘drama’. This is an insult Bihar will not forget for centuries.”
The Prime Minister was responding to remarks made by Congress leader Rahul Gandhi a day earlier, where he accused Modi of “doing a Chhath drama” by planning to take a symbolic dip in the Yamuna.
“Look at the depths to which these people can stoop for votes,” Modi said, drawing cheers and chants of “Phir ek baar NDA sarkar!” from the crowd.
RJD–Congress alliance ‘like water and oil’
PM Modi described the alliance between RJD and Congress as “unnatural,” likening it to “mixing water and oil.”
“They’ve joined hands only to loot Bihar again. Reports are already coming in about internal fights among their own leaders,” he said.
Accusing the Opposition of having a legacy of violence and corruption, Modi added, “During the RJD’s rule, 35,000 to 40,000 kidnappings took place in Bihar. Vehicle showrooms were looted, and their campaign songs today glorify katta and dunali (guns).”
He contrasted this with the NDA’s focus on “governance, development, and dignity for every Bihari.”
