On Navratri’s third day, PM Modi prays for courage, peace, and prosperity for the nation

New Delhi, Sept 24: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Wednesday paid tribute to Goddess Chandraghanta, worshipped on the third day of Navratri, invoking her blessings for peace, courage, and prosperity across the nation.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister wrote: “May the blessings of Devi Ma infuse positivity into everyone’s life. May her grace bring happiness, prosperity, and good fortune to my family members across the country this is my prayer.” His message highlighted the spiritual significance of the day, celebrated with devotion across India.

Navratri, the nine-day festival dedicated to Goddess Durga, honors a different form of the goddess each day. On the third day, devotees worship Goddess Chandraghanta, regarded as a symbol of bravery, serenity, and protection from negativity. Mythologically, she represents the married form of Goddess Parvati and is revered for promoting inner peace and fearlessness.

Festivities continue across the country, from Garba and Dandiya Raas in Gujarat to the grandeur of Durga Puja in West Bengal and Golu displays in South India. The celebrations reflect India’s cultural diversity and deep-rooted spiritual traditions.

PM Modi’s tribute not only underscored the religious significance of the festival but also carried a universal message of positivity, prosperity, and faith.
