PM Modi, President Murmu Extend Rosh Hashanah Greetings to Netanyahu

Leaders convey wishes for peace, prosperity, good health and hope to Israel and Jewish communities worldwide.

NEW DELHI, Sep 12: Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Droupadi Murmu on Saturday extended New Year greetings to Israeli leaders and Jewish communities around the world on the occasion of Rosh Hashanah.

Modi conveyed his greetings to Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu through a post on X, wishing the people of Israel and Jewish communities across the globe a year marked by peace, hope, good health and continued progress.

“Shana Tova! Wishing a very happy Rosh Hashanah to Prime Minister Netanyahu, the people of Israel and Jewish communities across the globe. May the new year be filled with peace, hope, good health and continued progress for all,” Modi said.

President Murmu also conveyed her greetings to Israeli President Isaac Herzog, extending her wishes on behalf of the people of India.

In her message, she expressed hope that the Jewish New Year would bring peace, prosperity, good health and renewed hope to people in Israel and across the world.

“Excellency @Isaac_Herzog, On behalf of the people of India, I convey heartfelt #RoshHashanah greetings to you and the Jewish community across Israel and the world,” Murmu said in her post on X.

The messages from the two Indian leaders highlighted India’s goodwill towards Israel and the Jewish community as they marked the beginning of the new year.
