PM Modi Says People Fear RJD Led Opposition Will Rule Bihar with ‘Katta Raj’ If Voted to Power

Prime Minister accuses RJD led INDIA bloc of promoting misgovernance and intimidation, urges voters to back NDA’s agenda of startups, education, and youth empowerment.

SITAMARHI (Bihar), Nov 8: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday launched a sharp attack on the RJD led opposition in Bihar, claiming that people are afraid the INDIA bloc would bring back an era of intimidation and violence if voted to power.

Addressing a public rally in Sitamarhi, the Prime Minister said, “People are not voting for the RJD-led opposition because they fear that if the INDIA bloc comes to power, their regime will put a ‘katta’ (country-made pistol) to people’s heads.”

In contrast, Modi said the BJP-led NDA government focuses on empowering youth through education, innovation, and entrepreneurship. “We promote startups, school bags, computers, cricket bats, and hockey sticks not kattas,” he added.

The Prime Minister took strong objection to reports that the RJD was using children in its campaign to glorify muscle power. “Bihar does not want a government that thrives on ‘katta’, ‘kushasan’ (misrule), ‘kroorta’ (cruelty), and corruption,” he said, drawing a distinction between the NDA’s development model and the opposition’s alleged lawlessness.

Praising the record 65.08% voter turnout in the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections, Modi said, “This massive turnout shows people’s faith in the NDA. The opposition is sleepless after this shock.”

The Prime Minister also highlighted welfare measures such as the Mukhyamantri Mahila Udyami Yojana, under which over one crore women have received financial assistance. “This was possible only under NDA’s good governance  not under the jungle raj,” he asserted.

Modi further attacked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi for what he called “insults” to India’s faith and traditions, referring to comments made about the Chhath festival. “Calling Chhath a drama is an insult to our mothers and sisters. The people of Bihar will answer them through their votes,” he said.

He cited development projects like Punaura Dham in Sitamarhi  the birthplace of Goddess Sita  as proof of NDA’s respect for India’s cultural heritage. Modi accused the RJD-Congress alliance of boycotting sacred sites in Ayodhya due to “vote bank politics.”

“Those guided by vote bank politics can never do good for the state. Their priority is infiltrators, not the people of Bihar,” Modi concluded.
