PM Modi to Address the Nation at 5 PM Today

New Delhi, Sept 21: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address the nation at 5 PM on Sunday, the Prime Minister’s Office (PMO) confirmed earlier today. While the official agenda of the address has not been disclosed, expectations are already building up across the country, given the timing of the announcement.

The Prime Minister’s speech comes on the eve of Navratri, a festival observed with great fervour across India, and just a day before the recently announced Goods and Services Tax (GST) rate cuts come into effect. These reductions, which will be implemented from September 22, are expected to lower the prices of a wide range of products and commodities, providing relief to households and giving a boost to consumer sentiment ahead of the festive season.

Officials remained tight-lipped about the subject of the Prime Minister’s address, but political analysts suggest that it could be linked to the economic reforms, festive season relief measures, or broader governance initiatives. Given the timing, some observers believe that Modi may use the occasion to speak on issues directly concerning citizens, particularly those related to inflation, job creation, investment climate, and welfare measures.
