PM Modi Vows Strict Action Against Those Endangering Youth’s Future

New Delhi, July 23: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday reaffirmed the Centre’s commitment to safeguarding the interests of students, declaring that the welfare and future of India’s youth remain the government’s highest priority. He asserted that those responsible for jeopardising students’ aspirations through examination paper leaks would face stringent action under the law.

The Prime Minister’s remarks come amid continuing concerns over examination irregularities and protests by aspirants demanding stronger measures to curb paper leaks and ensure transparency in the recruitment and education systems.

In a message shared on social media platform X, Modi stressed that protecting the nation’s youth is of paramount importance and warned that individuals involved in activities that undermine students’ future would not escape accountability.

He said the government is determined to eliminate malpractice in competitive examinations and has initiated several measures aimed at strengthening the integrity of the examination process.

Highlighting a key policy decision, the Prime Minister announced that the Centre has decided to establish fast-track courts to expedite the trial of examination paper leak cases. The move is intended to ensure swift justice and impose strict punishment on those found guilty of manipulating or compromising public examinations.

According to Modi, speedy legal proceedings will serve as a strong deterrent against organised cheating networks and reinforce public confidence in the examination system.

The Prime Minister also revealed that he has instructed the concerned ministries, departments and enforcement agencies to take all necessary steps to prevent future incidents of paper leaks and ensure strict implementation of the law.

He noted that the government’s latest initiatives are part of a broader effort to protect students’ interests, preserve the credibility of competitive examinations and uphold merit-based selection processes.

The Centre has been intensifying its crackdown on examination fraud in recent months through legislative reforms, stricter enforcement mechanisms and improved coordination among investigative agencies. Officials have maintained that safeguarding the fairness of public examinations is essential for maintaining trust in the country’s education and recruitment systems.
