PO Udhampur inspects IWMP works at Ghantwal watershed

UDHAMPUR, SEPTEMBER-17:- Project Officer Integrated Water Management Programme (IWMP), Udhampur  Sapna Kotwal along with field functionaries and Watershed Development Team (WDT) members today visited  Ghantwal watershed and inspected ongoing IWMP batch-IV works.

During the visit, the Project Officer interacted with   Watershed Committee Members and briefed them about the benefits of the scheme. The locals lauded the efforts made by the department and requested for speedy execution of the pending works in the watersheds.

The Watershed Committee members expressed satisfaction over the ongoing works aimed at containing soil erosion, protection of agriculture land, raising the water table and increasing the agriculture produce.

Among others, Paras Ram, JAEO, and WDT members Rakesh Bhagat, Mohd. Wahid, Anita Sharma, Rekha Sharma were accompanying the PO IWMP.
