PoJK, Sikh, employees delegations meet Raut, submit memorandum

Bharat Jodo Yatra gets MP Raut's support

JAMMU: Shiv Sena (UBT), Member Parliament Sanjay Raut today joined the Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra in Kathua district of Jammu division on Friday. He walked with AICC leader Rahul Gandhi till the break and discussed the present current situation in the country, especially in Jammu and Kashmir.
Pertinent to mention here that Congress’ Bharat Jodo Yatra has started the last leg of the Yatra from Hatli Morh of district Kathua.
Raut said that the journey of Bharat Jodo Yatra from Kanyakumari to Kashmir is giving the message of unity and brotherhood which is need of the hour in the country amidst politics of hatred is being done.
Seeing Sanjay Raut on this occasion, the Yatra participants raised slogans of “Balasaheb Thackeray Zindabad” and “50-Khoke Ek-Dam Ok”.
Along Sanjay Raut, State Shiv Sena President Manish Sahni also participated in the yatra along with hundreds of party workers.
After joining the Yatra, Raut reached Jammu where he met scores of delegations comprising POJK, Sikh community and reservation category employees of Jammu division working in Kashmir and unemployed youth. These representatives made the Member Parliament aware of their issues by submitting the memorandums.
Representatives of PoJK refugees, Rajeev Chunni and Surjeet Singh apprised the Member Parliament about the discrimination against the PoJK refugees.
On the other hand, despite the recommendation of Rs 30 lakhs by the Parliamentary Committee, the government has given only Rs 5.5 lakh per family in the name of compensation. Vinod Kumar  and Surjit Singh said that on the lines of Kashmiri Pandits, representation in the Legislative Assembly and Parliament should be ensured for PoJK refugees with all facilities. Rajeev Chunni also appealed to the Shiv Sena MP to give reservation and exemption to PoJK displaced people in higher and technical education in Maharashtra on the lines of Kashmiri Pandits.
On the other hand, representatives of reserved category employees of Jammu division working in Kashmir, headed by Kuldeep Kumar, apprised Raut that about 3,000 reserved employees living in Jammu division are rendering their services in different districts and departments of Kashmir division. Most of these personnel have been posted in Kashmir for 12 to 15 years. After the incidents of target killing, the workers are not ready to work in the valley and are protesting under the banner of Jammu based Reserved Category Employees Association Kashmir, demanding relocation to Jammu division.  The workers demanded that their salaries should be released and their postings should be done in Jammu by bringing changes in the transfer policy.
On the other hand, Tajinder Singh Pappi, Chairman of the Jammu and Kashmir Sikh Council, met Sanjay Raut and handed over a memorandum demanding the status of minority community to the Sikh community and recognition of Punjabi as the State Language and reservation for Sikh community in the Assembly elections.

About dirzen  youth including Nasir, Akshay, Dalip  youths demanded age relaxation in UPSC, JPPSC, JKAS examinations and informed about the rigging in the examinations.
Sanjay Raut is also going to address a press conference in Jammu on tomorrow (Saturday).
