Jammu, Mar 12: Police have launched a detailed investigation into the antecedents of Kamal Singh Jamwal, the 63 year old accused of attempting to assassinate former Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Farooq Abdullah at a marriage function in Greater Kailash, Jammu, on Wednesday night.
Jamwal allegedly fired at Abdullah from behind as he was leaving the event, but security personnel immediately intervened, preventing harm.
