Pooja Bhatt to Play Jitendra Kumar’s Mother in New Film Exploring India’s Unique Pigeon Culture

The untitled drama explores the emotional bond between a mother and her son set against India’s centuries old pigeon culture.

Mumbai, Nov 11 : Fans of Panchayat and Kota Factory have reason to celebrate actor Jitendra Kumar is set to return to the big screen with a fresh and distinctive project centred on one of India’s lesser known cultural traditions: pigeon flying.
The yet untitled film will see Jitendra Kumar portray a devoted pigeon keeper, delving deep into the emotional world of those who nurture the age old art of pigeon racing and companionship.
Joining him in a pivotal role is veteran actress Pooja Bhatt, who will play his mother. This marks a powerful return to serious cinema for Bhatt, following her appearance on Bigg Boss OTT season two.
Jitendra, known for his acclaimed performances in Jaadugar and Bhagwat: Chapter One  Raakshas, will explore a new emotional depth in this story of passion, heritage, and family bonds.
The film reunites Jitendra with Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan co-producer Hitesh Kewalya, who is producing the project along with Khyati Madaan’s Not Out Entertainment.
Making his feature debut with this film is writer director Bilal Hasan, whose short Chupchaap earned a Filmfare nomination and widespread praise in the festival circuit.
Principal photography for the film is set to begin next year. Promising a mix of heartfelt drama, nostalgia, and cultural authenticity, the film will offer audiences a glimpse into India’s rich and often overlooked pigeon-flying heritage.
