Preserving Traditions: Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Trust’s Ram Navami and Navaratri Festivities

23-10-2023 : The Shri Laxmi Narayan Mandir Management Trust, (Regd.) Gandhi Nagar Jammu, celebrated the Ram Navami festival with grandeur and devotion. The festivities commenced with a Havan/yagya conducted by learned pandits in the yagyashala at the Mandir complex. The President, other trust members, special invitees, and a large number of devotees participated in this spiritual event, which extended for about six hours in the morning, followed by “kanya pujan” and a special arti.

Prior to the main event, a series of programs were organized, including Dandiya, Garbha, scenes from Shri Ram Lila, and bhajan recitations by students from various colleges and schools. Renowned scholars delivered special lectures during the Navaratri, earning praise from all attendees.

On Shri Durga Ashtami, prizes and medals were awarded to the participants, with Th. Gulchain Singh Charak, the Trust’s President, doing the honors. Speaking on the occasion, Shri Charak congratulated the devotees, office bearers, and the function committee for their efforts in organizing such a grand celebration. He also expressed gratitude to the dedicated pujaris and staff members of the Temple complex for their contributions to the success of the Navratras festival.

Numerous individuals played pivotal roles in the success of these programs, including Sarav Shri S.C. Rekhi (Gen. Secretary), Deepak Gupta (Treasurer), Prithvi Raj Vaid, Harish Malohtra, Kapil Slathia, KB Magotra, Kulbhushan Bali, Parshant Sharma, P.C. Gupta, Sumesh Damral, Smt. Kiran Rajput, Krishan P. Gupta, Sandeep Singh, and Pritam Singh.
