Jammu, 09-08-2024:Priti Sapru a noted film actress, and Nidhi Dogra Sharma President “Dogra Samaj Trust” Mumbai held a Press Conference from Nami Dogri Sanstha platform to spell out the events and programmes to be organized on the 350th ” Year of Martyrdom” of Shri Guru Tegh Bahadur Ji commencing from 25th of November 2024.
Priti Sapru daughter of famous film actor parents D.K.Sapru and Hemavathi and niece of film actor Jeevan said that the people of Jammu and Kashmir especially, the Kashmiri Pandit community ever indebted to Guru Shri Tegh Bahadur Ji for his supreme sacrifice for the cause of her community. She indicated that the endeavour should be made to have Guru Ji’s Gurudwara established in Srinagar to propagate the unity of all religions in consonance with our age-old traditions of unity and brotherhood.
She further added that a light and sound programme both at Jammu and Srinagar, seminars, and a yatra from Srinagar to Delhi via Jammu and Punjab shall be undertaken up to Gurudwara ‘Sheeah Ganj” Sahib Delhi, the Shahidi place of Guru Ji. She proudly stated that her origin is from Jammu and Kashmir and wishes to unify the Kashmiris, Dogras, and Punjabies together in this celebration in line with our old traditions. Nidhi Dogra Sharma who has unified about ten thousand Dogra families residing in Maharashtra and Mumbai in particular on the Platform of “Dogra Samaj Trust Mumbai” as its President and who is a Life Member of NDS as well, said that Dogras have always received patronage and blessings of our Great Sikh Gurus and appealed to all the Dogras to make the event successful with their wholehearted cooperation and support. She further observed that a detailed programme shall be notified soon.
At the outset, NDS Honoured Both the Proud Daughters of the Soil with Sanstha Momento. Earlier Dr. Sushil Bhola Executive Member NDS welcomed the Guests and the Participants.
