Priya Sachdev Confirms Karisma Kapoor’s Daughter’s School Fees Paid Despite Sunjay Kapur Dispute

Delhi High Court hears Priya Sachdev refute claims over unpaid school fees and asset concealment in ongoing Sunjay Kapur inheritance battle.

NEW DELHI, Dec 6: The legal battle over late industrialist Sunjay Kapur’s estate has intensified, with his widow Priya Sachdev denying claims that school fees for Karisma Kapoor’s daughter remain unpaid. During the latest hearing at the Delhi High Court, Priya’s legal team provided proof of payment, refuting allegations made by Karisma Kapoor and her children regarding outstanding fees amounting to ₹95 lakh.

Senior Advocate Shyel Trehan, representing Priya, stated that the claim was “factually incorrect” and confirmed that all semester fees had been cleared. He further highlighted that Priya has been solely bearing all educational and living expenses of the children since Sunjay’s passing, with the next installment due in December.

Priya’s Side Labels Allegations as ‘Baseless’

The hearing follows a statement by Priya’s lawyer Rajiv Nayar, who dismissed claims by Sunjay’s mother, Rani Kapur, about alleged concealment of assets. Nayar said,

“I have filed a detailed list of assets, and every transaction is in the list… No money has been moved abroad.”

Sunjay Kapur’s Children Seek Inheritance

Since Sunjay Kapur’s death, the Kapur family has been embroiled in a bitter inheritance dispute. His children with Karisma Kapoor, Samaira and Kiaan, represented by their mother, have approached the court seeking their rightful share of the estate.

The minors’ petition alleges that their stepmother, Priya Sachdev, forged Sunjay’s will and requests the court to restrain her from transferring or modifying any assets until the matter is resolved. While Karisma Kapoor is not a direct party to the inheritance case, she continues to represent her children as the dispute escalates.
