Priyank Sharma Shuts Down ‘Lock Upp 2’ Rumours, Says His Chapter Closed 8 Years Ago

Mumbai: Actor and television personality Priyank Sharma has firmly denied reports claiming that he will be a contestant on the upcoming season of Lock Upp. The actor took to social media to clarify that he is not associated with any reality show and has no intention of returning to the genre.

In a note shared on Instagram, Priyank addressed the ongoing speculation and stated that his reality television journey concluded in 2017. He said that over the past several years, he has dedicated his time to refining his acting and dancing abilities in order to entertain audiences through different creative avenues.

The actor added that his professional priorities now lie in scripted content and live performances. According to Priyank, viewers can expect to see him in web series, films or on stage rather than in competitive reality-based programmes.

Priyank first gained widespread recognition through reality shows such as Splitsvilla 10 and Roadies Rising. He later featured in television projects including Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya before shifting his attention towards acting assignments and dance performances.

With the clarification, Priyank has effectively put an end to speculation surrounding his participation in Lock Upp 2. Meanwhile, reports suggest that several television and digital personalities are being considered for the show’s new season, although no official contestant list has been announced so far.
