PVL 2025: Mumbai Meteors Storm Into Final With Convincing Win Over Goa Guardians

Hyderabad, Oct 25: Mumbai Meteors booked their place in the Prime Volleyball League (PVL) 2025 final with a commanding 15-8, 15-8, 16-14 victory over Goa Guardians at the Gachibowli Indoor Stadium. Shubham Chaudhary was named the Player of the Match for his all round brilliance. Mumbai will face the winner of the second semifinal between Bengaluru Torpedoes and Ahmedabad Defenders.

Goa started aggressively, with Nathaniel Dickinson’s spikes and Rohit Yadav’s powerful serves, but Mumbai’s consistent attacks from Shubham Chaudhary and Amit Gulia kept them ahead. Despite moments of brilliance from Goa, including a super serve from L.M. Manoj, Mumbai’s disciplined formation and smart plays ensured a two set lead.

In the third set, Petter Ostvik dominated the middle zone while Karthik’s crucial block on Chirag Yadav sealed the win for the Meteors. Earlier in the tournament, Mumbai had also defeated Kochi Blue Spikers in a thrilling five set encounter to reach the semifinals.

Meanwhile, Goa Guardians earned their semifinal spot after defeating the Delhi Toofans in another five set thriller, with Saqlain Tariq earning Player of the Match honors.

With this win, Mumbai Meteors continue their dominant run in PVL 2025, keeping fans excited for the grand finale showdown.
