Rafale will be more dangerous after being armed with Hammer missile

By the end of this month, the Indian Air Force will get a large number of Hammer Systems

New Delhi, 05 November. France has agreed to equip the fighter aircraft with an air-to-ground All Weather Missile Hammer, along with delivering three more fighter jets Rafale. The Indian Air Force will receive a large number of Hammer missiles from France by the end of this month. Now the capacity of the Indian Rafale jet will increase further as the Highly Agile and Maneuverable Munitions Actuated Range (Hammer) is a missile kit carried by air to ground rocket. In the second batch, after three more Rafales arrived in India on Wednesday night, now the total eight fighter jets in the Air Force fleet have become Rafael.

France was ordered to pick up Hammer Systems in a hurry in July when five Rafale supplies were made in the first shipment. The Hammer contract was signed between the governments of India and France in September 2020. It was supposed to be supplied normally in a year but France has agreed to equip the Indian Rafale with All Weather Missile Hammer to meet India’s requirement immediately. Now, after the supply of three more Rafale aircraft in the second batch, a large number of Hammer Systems will be available to the Indian Air Force by the end of this month. The 300-km range scalp missile in Rafale before Hammer makes it the most lethal. In addition, the air-to-air target of the Meteor missile is infallible. Now the Hammer missile in Rafale is very dangerous, which can be launched from a range of 70 km even without GPS.

In the second batch after the non-stop flight from France, 3 Rafale aircraft arrived at the Indian Air Force’s Jamnagar airbase at 8.14 pm on Wednesday. The 5 Rafale jets found in the first batch joined the Indian Air Force fleet on 10 September. In this way, the total of eight fighter jets in the Air Force fleet has now become Rafael. Air Chief Marshal Air Chief Marshal RKS Bhadoria told on Air Force Day that all 36 Rafale jets will be inducted by 2023.(HC)
