Rahul Gandhi Declares India Will Never Yield to Hate and Fear on Pahalgam Attack Anniversary

Nation remembers victims of the Pahalgam terror attack as strong message of resilience, justice, and collective resolve echoes across the country

NEW DELHI, Apr 22: Marking one year since the tragic Pahalgam terror attack, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, delivered a powerful message underscoring the nation’s unwavering stand against terrorism and violence. Paying homage to the victims, he emphasized that India’s spirit remains unshaken in the face of fear and hatred.

In a heartfelt tribute, Gandhi remembered the innocent lives lost in the brutal attack that shook the nation. He highlighted that the pain endured by the families of the victims continues to resonate deeply across the country, reinforcing a shared sense of grief and solidarity among citizens.

Describing the attack as a cowardly act, he asserted that the sacrifices of those who lost their lives would never fade from the nation’s collective memory. He stressed that their legacy would remain permanently etched in India’s conscience, serving as a reminder of both the cost of terrorism and the strength of national unity.

Gandhi further stated that India’s resolve against forces attempting to destabilize peace has only grown stronger over time. According to him, the country has stood united in the past, remains united in the present, and will continue to do so in the future, regardless of challenges posed by extremist threats.

The anniversary also brought renewed attention to the events surrounding the attack, which was carried out by the Pakistan-based terror outfit Lashkar-e-Taiba. The assault claimed the lives of 26 civilians, most of whom were tourists visiting the scenic region of Pahalgam in Jammu and Kashmir.

In response to the attack, India had launched a significant countermeasure known as Operation Sindoor. The operation targeted terror infrastructure across the border, including locations in Pakistan and Pakistan occupied Kashmir, signaling a firm stance against cross-border terrorism.

As the nation commemorates the victims, Gandhi’s message reinforces a broader national sentiment one of unity, resilience, and an unyielding commitment to justice. The remembrance serves not only as a tribute to those lost but also as a call to remain vigilant and steadfast in the fight against terrorism.

The observance of this solemn anniversary stands as a reminder that while the scars of the tragedy remain, India’s collective determination to counter terror and uphold peace continues to grow stronger with time.
